Mr. Erie represents individuals in the preservation and transfer of wealth through estate and gift tax planning, as well as in the administration of decedents' estates.
He additionally represents nonprofit organizations in their formation and organization as well as in their activities and operations as tax exempt organizations, including by securing tax exempt status for them from the Internal Revenue Service and by handling their registrations with the Virginia Division of Consumer Affairs and with other state and local governmental agencies.
Mr. Erie’s law practice is located in Chesterfield County, Virginia, where he has practiced since 1997; he practiced with the Richmond law firm of Maloney, Yeatts & Barr, 1987-1997; and with the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service, 1982-1987.
